Auckland pest control that fixes the cause, not just the pest

Rats in the roof. Ants through the kitchen. A wasp nest by the back door. We identify what you actually have, treat it properly, and tell you exactly how it got in — so you are not booking us again next autumn.

  • Inspection before treatment — no guessing, no generic packages
  • Firm price up front. No call-out fee, no surprises
  • Written record of what we used, where, and what to seal

In short

Pest Control Auckland treats rats, mice, cockroaches, ants, fleas and wasps across the wider Auckland region — homes, rentals and commercial premises. Most residential treatments cost $150–$350 including GST; a full multi-pest home treatment runs $320–$580. There is no call-out fee, appointments are usually available within two to four working days, and every job begins with an inspection so the treatment matches the pest that is actually there. What we do differently

Most pest problems come back because nobody looked for the cause

It is genuinely common for us to arrive at a property that has been treated two or three times already. The treatments were not necessarily wrong — but nobody went into the roof space, nobody looked under the house, and nobody wrote down the four gaps that were letting rodents straight back in.

So that is where we start. Every job includes an inspection of the roof space, subfloor and perimeter before anything is treated, and you get a written list of what needs sealing or repairing, in priority order. Sometimes that list is the actual answer and the treatment is the smaller half of the job. We would rather tell you that than sell you a repeat visit.

It also means we identify the species properly. A Gisborne cockroach that wandered in from the woodpile and a German cockroach breeding behind your dishwasher look like the same problem to most people and need completely different work. Argentine ants get worse if you spray them. Knowing which one you have in front of you is most of the job.

Services

What we treat

Seven core services covering the pests Auckland properties actually get. Prices shown are typical ranges including GST — you get a firm number before any work starts.

Residential Pest Control

A full residential pest treatment in Auckland typically costs $320 to $580 including GST, covering several pests in a single visit, or $150 to $350 for a single…

  • More than one pest active at the same time — very common, and cheaper to handle in one visit
  • The same problem returning every autumn, which points to entry points rather than treatment failure
  • A rental property needing documented treatment between tenancies
$320 – $580typical, incl. GST Details →

Commercial Pest Control

Commercial pest control in Auckland is priced as a scheduled programme rather than per visit, typically $480 to $2,400 per year depending on site size, risk level…

  • You operate under a food control plan and need documented pest management for verification
  • A verifier, auditor or franchisor has raised pest management as a corrective action
  • Droppings, gnawing or live sightings reported by staff or, worse, by a customer
From $480 / yeartypical, incl. GST Details →

Rodent Control

Rodent control in Auckland typically costs $180 to $350 including GST for a standard home, covering inspection, treatment and one follow-up visit. The two species…

  • Scratching, scuttling or gnawing overhead after dark, usually starting shortly after sunset
  • Droppings — rat droppings are 12–18 mm and spindle-shaped; mouse droppings are 3–6 mm, like coarse grains of rice
  • Dark greasy smear marks along skirtings, joists and pipe runs where fur oils rub off on repeated routes
$180 – $350typical, incl. GST Details →

Cockroach Control

Cockroach treatment in Auckland typically costs $160 to $320 including GST. The single most important question is which species you have. The German cockroach…

  • Live cockroaches when a light goes on at night — for German cockroaches, daytime sightings mean the population is already large
  • Droppings that look like ground pepper or coffee grounds in drawers, cupboard corners and behind appliances
  • Discarded egg cases (oothecae) — small, ridged, brown capsules roughly 8 mm long
$160 – $320typical, incl. GST Details →

Ant Control

Ant treatment in Auckland typically costs $150 to $290 including GST. The critical point is that Argentine ants (Linepithema humile), which are widespread across…

  • Persistent trails along skirtings, bench edges, window frames or the line where a path meets the house
  • Ants appearing suddenly after heavy rain, when nests flood, or during dry spells when they come indoors for moisture
  • Fine piles of excavated soil or sand at paving joints, slab edges and along foundations
$150 – $290typical, incl. GST Details →

Flea Control

Flea treatment in Auckland typically costs $190 to $340 including GST for a standard home. Around 95% of a flea infestation is not on the animal — it exists as…

  • Small itchy bites clustered around ankles and lower legs, often in lines of two or three
  • Pets scratching persistently, biting at the base of the tail, or losing hair along the back
  • "Flea dirt" — black specks in pet bedding that turn rusty red on a damp white tissue (it is digested blood)
$190 – $340typical, incl. GST Details →

Wasp Control

Wasp nest destruction in Auckland typically costs $140 to $280 per nest including GST, with difficult access or in-cavity nests at the upper end. New Zealand has…

  • A steady two-way stream of wasps in and out of one specific point — a hole in a bank, a gap in weatherboards, a roof soffit
  • A grey papery umbrella-shaped nest under eaves, pergolas, decking or garden furniture
  • Sudden heavy wasp interest in outdoor eating, meat on a barbecue, or pet food left outside
$140 – $280typical, incl. GST Details →

The process

What happens when you call us

  1. Tell us what you have noticed

What you have seen or heard, where in the property, and roughly when it started. You do not need to know what the pest is.

  2. We inspect before we treat

Roof space, subfloor, perimeter and the reported activity areas. We are looking for the source and the entry points, not just confirming the pest.

  3. Firm price, clear plan

What we recommend, what it will cost and what it will and will not achieve. If a $60 repair would serve you better than a $300 treatment, we will say so.

  4. Treat, document, verify

Targeted treatment, a written record of products and placements, a proofing list, and a follow-up visit where the pest requires one.

Standards

How we work, and under what rules

Applied to label, every time

All products are approved by the New Zealand EPA and applied within the controls set under the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996.

Written records as standard

Every visit produces a record of what was used, where it was placed and what needs attention. Essential for rentals and food premises, useful for everyone else.

Targeted, not blanket

Gel placements, bait stations and crack-and-crevice work in the places pests live, rather than spraying across surfaces your family uses.

Coverage

Where we work across Auckland

Auckland is a big, varied region and pest pressure changes markedly across it — bush gullies on the Shore, tidal margins in the west, new subdivisions in the south and east, apartment density in the centre. We have location pages for 30 areas covering what drives problems in each.

Questions

Questions we get asked most

If your question is not here, call us — we would rather answer it before you book than after.

How much does pest control cost in Auckland?
Most residential jobs run $150 to $350 including GST for a single pest, and $320 to $580 for a full home treatment covering several pests in one visit. Wasp nests start at $140. Commercial sites are quoted as an annual programme, usually $480 to $2,400 depending on size and risk. There is no call-out fee and estimates are free — the full breakdown is on our pest control cost guide.
How soon can you come out?
We usually offer an appointment within two to four working days across the Auckland region, and we hold daily capacity for urgent work — wasp nests near doorways or play areas, rodents in a food business, or anything with a health and safety dimension. Say so when you call and we will prioritise you.
Do you cover my suburb?
We cover the wider Auckland region: the central isthmus, the North Shore from Devonport to Albany, East Auckland through Howick and Flat Bush, South Auckland to Papakura, and West Auckland out to Westgate. See all service areas, or call and tell us your street.
What pests do you treat?
Rats and mice, cockroaches, ants, fleas and wasps — in homes, rental properties and commercial premises. If you are not sure what you have, describe what you have seen or heard. Identifying it is our job, not yours, and getting it right is what determines the treatment.
Are the treatments safe around pets and children?
The products we use are approved by the New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority and applied strictly to label directions, in targeted placements rather than sprayed across living areas. Rodent bait goes in tamper-resistant lockable stations. Tell us about pets, young children or fish tanks and we will plan around them — including using traps instead of bait where that suits you better.
Will one treatment fix the problem?
For wasp nests and most ant jobs, usually yes. Rodent and cockroach work generally needs a follow-up: rodents because bait uptake and entry points have to be verified, and cockroaches because egg cases are shielded from insecticide and hatch afterwards. We tell you which category your job falls into before we start.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. Estimates are free and we quote before any work begins. The price we give you is the price you pay, unless the job turns out to be materially different from what was described.
Can you treat a rental property?
Yes, and we provide a written treatment record for your file. Landlords and property managers use these for maintenance records and to establish property condition at the start of a tenancy. Our guide on who pays for pest control in a NZ rental covers the obligations in detail.
